Hello everyone.  Thank you for all of your help in class so far!  The kids seem to be having fun with the stuff we are doing in class.  I'm trying to get everything streamlined and working up to speed, how I want.  This week has some other new items to add to the planner.

PLANNER INFO:  We have snack center this week, being added.  Hugo's family will be the first to have a snack center.  The new planner will be from Monday through Tuesday of the next week (Sept 26-Oct 5).  We will also be doing a typing center that the kids will have to do.  For my afternoon co-opers, I will have one of you be stationed at the typing center.  We have a podcast that we have to do, in class.  The kids will be doing a writing on learning stuff in class so far.  They will be writing 10 sentences with 3 things that have learned and 2 things that they want to learn more about.  I'm gonna do a story problem center too, in which they will write a story problem and put it in a bin.  When they put their story problem in the bin, they will take another one to solve that is someone else's.

There is now a photo wall with the kids faces on it.  This is tool for you all to get to know the kids a little better by name.  My Tuesday through Thursday AM co-opers will be meeting with kids during writing time. I will give you the kids that you will be meeting with.

One more thing, we will be going to Hee Haw farms on Wednesday the 27th of October.  I need to find both car pools and whether or not your student will need a sack lunch.  Please let me know right away, if you can.  Thanks a ton.

Tuesday PM co-opers will be meeting about what they want to do for social studies over the next few weeks.  I'll give you as much guidance as is needed.  Friday co-opers will also be looking through my lesson plans for science in the morning.

Thanks to everyone who drove to Antelope Island.  We had a really good time at my house.  I'm really excited to have you all come over to my place next month.  Guess what?  Also, after all of that work with getting the next parent meeting earlier, Denise needs to have them at the same time....so we are figuring out how to accommodate those parents.  I'll let you know as soon as I know what the deal is with the next parent meeting.
