Hello everybody. 

Hope everything is okay and, as always, thank you so much for everything you have done for our class so far.  This week we have some new things happening.  We have Social Studies happening on Tuesday from 1:00-2:15.  We also have a field trip to 1594 West North Temple...the Salt Lake Geologic headquarters or something like that.  The field trip is for science week and we will be talking about rocks.  We will have either sack lunches, from home, or I will bring stuff to make a big old lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!  I don't think we have peanut allergies...I know the others and I can prepare for them too.  The field trip is from 9:30-11:00 then to a field for lunch.  We will be back to the school before the school lunch is over.  We have the continuation of last weeks planner.  I really need to crack down on the kids turning stuff in.  My class is awesome so far.  I might be having a couple of them call home to leave a message about what they have to complete off the last few weeks' planners.  I need to have everything turned in to me by the time PTK's roll around!  We will be doing a playground painting project on Wed from 2:30-3:30.  We will be having the Salt Lake Mosquito Abatement crew coming to talk to us about mosquito's how they fit into Utah's biomes on Thursday from 1:00-2:15...sorry art co-oper's! This was the only time they could come.  We have kid co-oping right after that, from 2:30-3:15...sorry again, art co- opers.  That day is packed.  If you want to come in another time to finish the paintings, let me know.  The kids that will be kid co- oping are Olivia (origami, 5 in a group at a time), Noah (card games, in a group at a time), Ben S. (comics, 5 in a group at a time) and Genevieve (Squishi, 5 kids at a time).  We will also have Science on Friday from 9:00-10:00.  We are starting weather.  They are doing so awesome with the computers and music in my class.  I love having a class so excited about art.  Reading will begin this week.  We will be having different ideas to be focusing on each day.  I will be moving to small learning groups (just a head's up AM co-opers).  Not this week, but in the coming weeks we will start those groups.
