This is a short week!  Mon ONLY full day.  Tues and Wed both short days...ending at 1:05

Brian Avery will be at class on Wed to do a brine shrimp lesson.  

THANK YOU BRIAN!  We had so much science this last week!  We had an 

awesome field trip to the Salt Lake Geological Society.  So cool!  

Then we had SLC mosquito abatement come in and talk a bit about mosquito's and where they are found...biomes.  THEN we had some incredibly great lessons taught by our Friday co-opers.  Thank you all so much for your help.  The kids seemed to love having the parents talk about the stuff we are learning...who wouldn't want to see their parent teach a lesson on weather?  Honestly?

I told the kids, this Friday, that they had to finish all of the due work from this planner AND planners past.  I told them if they didn't finish, then they would have to chill out inside from recess and do due work.  This is me holding the kids to the expectation that it is extremely important for them to turn in their work ON TIME.  This is one of the biggest things that I focus on with any class that I have.  Thank you all for supporting your kids in helping me get their work turned in on time.  I care whether the work is done to the best of their abilities too, but, having the work in on time is one of the best skills they can have going into the world.

10/27 (that's a Wed).  I need to know who is getting lunch BY WED!

At the last staff meeting, it was decided that the microwaves, in the lunchroom, are not going to be available.  The issue of the microwaves being too "nasty" will be brought to student council and they will decide a better way to manage the "nast"-iness...if at all.  So, moral of the story is, don't have your kids bring something that they need to microwave till everything has been decided.  If you have further questions, come see me please.

Allen Kurzweil will be at school on wed.  Fill out one of the forms for one of his books IF YOU WANT IT.  The kids all brought them home...hopefully.  It is not something you need to buy!  It was just given to us to pass out.
